Nicolas is a transport planner and ergonomist with ten years’ experience working in transport planning, human factors ergonomics, and related research fields in New Zealand and Australia. As a sustainable-transport advocate Nicolas endeavours to develop integrated transport and land use outcomes that are economically robust, socially proactive and environmentally sustainable.
His recent projects have included light rail network design, suburban rail service planning, the development of bus rapid transit corridors for urban and suburban areas, and network design for multi-modal public transport systems including Auckland’s New Network. In particular, Nicolas has been the network planning lead on the Auckland Light Rail Project and Darwin Public Transport Network Review, and technical lead on Northwestern Busway Preliminary Engineering Assessments
