Data underpins good decision making in projects that contribute to more sustainable cities. At MRCagney, we understand how important data is, and our strong Data Science and GIS team supports the whole office, ensuring that our projects have a strong analytical foundation.
Making data accessible and easy to understand is a core value of our Data Science team. We create meaningful analyses, visualisations, and web applications to make sure clients get value out of their data. Data models and projects are often complex ‘under the hood’, but we always aim to develop outputs and tools that are simple to use for people who don’t love data as much as we do!
Our GIS team is embedded within the Data Science team, giving us the ability to leverage both the common GIS tools of ArcGIS and QGIS, and programmatic tools such as Python and R. Our GIS skills are broad ranging, and include collecting, creating, and analysing geospatial data, building geospatial processing models, and creating interactive, online maps with meaningful insights.
Information about our cities is never perfect and working with it always comes with challenges. Our extensive experience, along with a suite of previously developed tools and processes, gives us a good starting point every time we pick up a new project.
