Noel is a specialist transport analyst with over thirteen years’ experience. He has worked on many large-scale modelling and data analysis projects and has developed key skills in manipulating large datasets. Prior to joining MRCagney, Noel worked in Brisbane, Birmingham, London, and Auckland. Major projects he contributed to include the London Opportunity Area, Auckland Transport Modelling, and Birmingham Congestion Monitoring. Recent project experience includes TransLink’s Fare Path Strategy, developing data processors for GTFS and ticket transaction data, public transport operations modelling, and numerous data processing and automation projects.
Noel is an expert Excel and Access programmer and uses those packages along with skills in SPSS, C++, and SQL to automate data processing and analysis tasks. He is also a highly experienced geospatial analyst and an expert-level MapInfo user. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering both from the Queensland University of Technology.
