Mehdi is a transport analyst and modeler with extensive experience of working in Australia, Europe, and Middle East. His key expertise is Spatial Data Analysis, Programming, Transport Modelling and Visualization.
With qualifications in Surveying Engineering and an MSc in Highway and Transportation Engineering, and experience as surveyor and transport modeller, Mehdi brings a strong spatial background to transport modelling and engineering. With his experience of linking spatial contexts to transportation projects, Mehdi has developed applications to assist transport decision making.
He recently completed a project in the Netherlands to assess passenger oriented measures of transit travel time delays and variabilities in the network using smart card data. Mehdi is about to receive his PhD degree in Public Transport from the school of Civil Engineering at the University of Queensland. During his PhD program, in addition to following his interest in application of optimization algorithms to solve complex transportation engineering problems, he was a casual researcher at the Australian Academic Strategic Transport Research Alliance(ASTRA), where he worked on several transportation projects using advanced programming, data analysis, and mapping skills.
