Cycling Infrastructure and Intersection Designs: Learnings from Study Tour

Presented by Claire Graham, Senior Specialist –Walking & Cycling, Auckland Transport

Claire Graham is one of the winners of this year’s IPENZ Transportation group’s study awards. She used the IPENZ TG award to travel to North-America and Europe to gain insights and expand her knowledge around the design and successful integration of cycling into cities. Her main focus was on separated cycle facilities and intersection design. Her trip took her to Vancouver, Seattle, Copenhagen, London, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Berlin.

Claire will share her learnings and in-depth observations with us and discuss how these could be applied to help bringing cycling and Auckland’s cycle facilities to the next level.

The presentation will be followed by a period for discussion and questions.
